Our Products
Landau Jojoba® Skincare Products, (Landau Jojoba® Lotion and Daily Facial Protection, Puro Liso®, and Landau’s Reserve®), unlike some other products which are only part jojoba, are 100% pure jojoba, a rare commodity, fortified with vitamins. Because the jojoba plant takes a long time to grow to production levels, jojoba ester is precious.
Jojoba
JOJOBA’s (pronounced ho-ho-bah) chemical makeup is similar to sebum, the naturally occurring element in your skin. While other cosmetics are made with triglycerides and petrochemicals which are not compatible with your skin’s natural moisture, jojoba ester softens and rejuvenates your skin. The product absorbs within 20 to 30 seconds of massaging into your skin if used as directed. When used as directed, they do not leave your skin feeling sticky, oily or greasy. Jojoba oil is liquid wax ester which originates in photons from the sun, carbon dioxide and water vapor. Jojoba oil provides a smooth, moist feeling on your skin and will prevent moisture evaporation.
Jojoba ester is a natural, non-poisonous, rich emollient that is fragrance-free. It is not an antiseptic but is known for its resistance to the growth of bacteria. Jojoba is used as a preservative in other products. It is itself long-lasting and stable.
The Company
Landau Jojoba® Skincare Products has been in business since 1980. Most of that time has been establishing jojoba farms and developing and testing products and formulas. Our corporate business office is located in Overland Park, Kansas.
Our Founder
M. B. Landau was a developer and entrepreneur who was born just outside St. Louis, Missouri, and lived most of his life in the Kansas City metropolitan area. He became intrigued with the properties of the jojoba plant and its precious ester. Years before the information superhighway was ever conceived, he personally traveled to West Asia and several other conference sites to learn more about this common desert shrub. He studied it extensively. He met many producers, agricultural scientists, chemists, and others from whom he acquired knowledge and insight into the skincare benefits of jojoba ester. He poured everything he learned into creating our company to share the benefits of the jojoba skincare with you.

An all-around excellent moisturizer. I have the dreaded “combination” type skin. I struggle with dry patches on my face while also being oily and prone to break outs. I originally tried the Pre-Makeup Lotion and Facial Shield in an attempt to find a product that would help my dry skin but not make my face feel oily. I’ve been using this product for over a year now. Not only for moisturizing when needed but also as a primer. I have been using Puro Liso since 2023. I heard about it through my mom and it worked well for her. I tried it and it has helped me with both of my pregnancies with keeping the skin from stretch marks. It has also helped keep the skin soft while going through postpartum phase. Bonus fact, its natural scent is really good too.
